Random Deals

Our games use the widely accepted Fisher–Yates shuffle to randomly shuffle each deck. We pair this with a cryptographically secure pseudorandom number generator to produce deals which are both statistically random and hard to predict.

Deal Statistics

Curious about what cards you’ve been dealt? Log your deals and analyze up to the last 60 days of them. Find the option in the main menu under Statistics, Deal Statistics.

When Are Deals Not Random?

Deals won’t be random only if the game is created with a custom dealing option. These include deals that are:

  • Edited in practice games
  • Dealt from uploaded decks
  • Dealt in “best hand” Bridge games
  • Dealt in “balanced deals” Bridge games

About In-Person Deals

Some players have commented their deals “feel” different in-person. One reason we’ve identified is many players do not shuffle their cards sufficiently. Research has shown seven shuffles are necessary for random results using a riffle shuffle approach.
